The Information That We DO Collect
We do collect aggregate web site information such as how many users visit the web site, what web site links (if any) brought people to our site, what percentage of users are using Internet Explorer versus Netscape browsers, which browser version is being used, etc. This allows us to measure the web sites popularity, the effectiveness of our web site marketing, spot problems, and to make sure that our web site programming decisions are properly geared to the browser and browser versions that people are generally using. These general statistics do not allow us to identify any specific user.
"Cookies" are tiny text files used by your computers browser storing your web site preferences or other basic information. These are used by most major web sites. We occasionally use temporary cookies in a very limited way. For example, if there is a pop up window with a special announcement of some kind, we will use a cookie to store the fact that you have already seen it. This is so that you won't be shown it repeatedly. No personal information of any kind is stored. We also strictly use "session" cookies. This type of cookie is very safe as they only store information for and about the web site that uses it, they are not read by other users or web sites, and when you close your browser they automatically delete themselves. Many browsers also give you the option of "turning off" all cookies in the browser preferences section.
We hope that this information answers any privacy concerns that you may have. If you have any further concerns, questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact the Privacy Officer directly at
